Ocean's Eleven. B+
After making some serious movies, 'Erin Brockovich' and 'Traffic,' Steven Soderbergh decides to have some fun with 'Ocean's Eleven,' a terrific caper film about a man named Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his attempt, along with eleven other guys, to rob three casinos run by Terry Benedict (Andy Garica) the man who is dating Ocean's ex-wife Tess. (Julia Roberts) As expected, the casinos' vault is extremely well guarded and it takes plenty of time and very difficult planning to pull the robbery off. The film moves fast and never once slows down. The acting is terrific, seeing as the movie is filled with good actors: Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Clooney, Garica, and Roberts. The only character who I didn't like was Damon's. He was stiff for the most part and didn't look like he was having a whole lot of fun. But everyone else was, and though the movie unfolds just like we know it will, it is still a very well crafted, funny, and extremely entertaining two hours.
