Stuck on You. B-

Stuck on You creates a story that, while slightly disturbing, has a great deal of comic potential. When you take two conjoined twins and have them go to Hollywood because one of them wants to act, the opportunities for awkward scenarios is endless. And for the most part the movie succeeds, not only making us laugh, but putting a positive spin on being a conjoined twin-if that means anything. Stuck on You is one of the Farrelly brothers comedies and it stars Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear as the two good natured twins. They succeed as a comedy duo the same way that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels did in Dumb and Dumber. It's no contest that the funniest scene in the movie involving Damon going on his first date with a girl who has no idea of his condition. So instead of saying that he he is literally attached to his brother, Damon tells his date that he is figuratively attached. His brother just has to look out for him at all times. The date, consisting of a drive in movie and drive in fast food, is as funny as anything the Farrellys have ever conjured up. Unfortunately, the movie drags on for nearly two hours and while it is a little moving-relatively-it wasn't really necessary. A wild and crazy Dumb and Dumber approach would have suited the movie better. Still, this a good comedy, and while not the Farrelly's best, it's definitely a job well done.
