There are a lot of movie podcasts out there, so many in fact that it can be overwhelming to find which ones to choose (not to mention just finding the time to sit down and listen to one for an hour). The truth is though that a lot of film podcasts are a waste of time. Too many of them consist of wasteful blabbing, too much subjective musing and not enough investigation of movie-related topics that are worthwhile for everyone.
This is just a reminder then to listen to one that I think is most definitely not a waste of time, and that is Peter Labuza's The Cinephiliacs (It's available on I-tunes, or the official website). Labuza gets fantastic guests, from tried and true cinephiles like Vadim Rizov and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky, to esteemed critics like Glenn Kenny, Kent Jones, and A.O. Scott. The conversation is compelling, diverse, casual, and always worth one's while.
